Anybody Think We Should Trade The No.2 Pick?

Recommended Posts

at the point..the 'cats need to take a chance...

I say take Andre Drummond and do everything humanly possibly to develop him properly.

He was considered the no.1 pick before the cbb season..but he struggled at times at UCONN..which many would argue is due to the coaching situation.

fwiw..just trying to make myself feel better.

I would not take Drummond at 2. Idno but just me.

If you can't draft some franchise shaping talent at 2nd and 9th, then you might as well give it up. Add those two lottery picks to what we have in Walker and Biyombo and we've got the start of something special. Does it suck to lose the 1st pick? Yeah it does. However, there is no generational talent in this draft. The first overall pick was highly debated up until the tournament. So yeah, time to get the work on identifying the two players you want to help build around.

    • According to the talking heads of the sports world, this is a pretty meh QB class.  Sanders and Ward are the only two with first round buzz, but the rest are blah.  Take that for what you will. Let's see how Bryce does in year three.  That's just where we are.  Patience is the key here.  Players need time to develop.  They can't develop if they don't play.  Bryce has made some really good throws, but he doesn't look like CJ Stroud.  That's going to be his point of comparison the rest of their careers.  The ball doesn't explode off Bryce's hand, it's not a cannon ball shot out of a cannon.  He's not going to break a 70 yard run.   Bryce is going to have to continue to make good throws and make plays.  Part of that is going to depend on the play calls.  Part of it is based on the skill players.  A couple drops picked up yesterday and it's a win and Bryce throws 1-2 more TDs.  A completely different story. It's been a crazy year indeed.  I just want to see Bryce continue to develop.  To see XL become more consistent.  To see JT fully recover (not play this season if he's not healthy).  I want to see Coker continue to make plays.  I'd love to see Brooks get more touches and Chubba continue to hammer defenses. Then this approaching offseason, let's go back to the D and work on fixing it.
    • Prime is already gone boss.  Nothing left for team Sanders in college football.
    • Justin Fields’ fifth-year option was declined by the Steelers in April. Without a new contract, he will be a free agent in March. I am pulling for Bryce Young to look good the rest of the season, but if he doesn't, how many of you would be on board for the Panthers to try signing Justin Fields?
