Gee, You Don't Suppose That Was Fixed...

anyone explain why MKG has a chance to be #2? Is it the Kentucky hype machine?

He has no jump shot, decent defender, solid rebounder. Doesn't sound like #2 to me.

My concern is that he did well while playing alongside AD... makes me very skeptical.

I want Beal, also. I think that dude is going to be a stud.

MrTD, I agree with you on Sullinger. Do not want

Bro I've been to Ohio three times in the past year and my gf's family is Ohio state apeshit crazy and every time I've been up there they tell me, me a Carolina fan mind you, how great of a big man he is. Lol. Carolina has better players than him ln the bench. dude is garbage. Aaron Kraft was the real MVP of that team this year. Big10 basketball lmfao.

Evan f'ng Turner was better at Ohio state than Sullinger and look at turner in the nba now. He's approaching bust territory.

Whoever the Bobcats draft will have to be able to score the basketball, even if that is all they can do. I don't care if they can't defend, rebound, pass, who gives a poo. Last year they took two lottery picks, neither of which can score. They have a broken down Corey Magette, Gerald Henderson who is learning how to be a scoring two guard, Augustin who is inconsistent, and all the rest are spare parts that are role players at best on any other team.

This team needs someone who can provide some offense.

How so? Kemba plays the 1.

redmage i know ur a UF fan, what is Beals height?

All the absolute morons on bobcatsplanet are riding Robinson and MKG and trashing on Beal. Saying they don't want a 6'3 shooting guard. I always thought he was more 6'5.

LOL, you don't understand the basics of how the draft lottery works... but you're sure it's on the level and the rest of us are idiots for questioning it's legitimacy.

There are 14 balls, each ball has 4 numbers on it and the league has a chart of each possible 4 digit combination up to 1,000 combinations. The Bobcats owned 250 of those 4 digit numeric combinations giving us a 25% chance.

You really think there are 1,000 balls banging around inside the tumbler? LOL!

Haha, oh. . .yep totally did. That seems like a better way to do that. Great if they want to do it live, they totallly should, but I think they could still fix it if they wanted.

I'll tell you why, the NBA was desperate to sell that team to a viable owner who would not move it. I wouldn't put it past Stern to promise the # 1 overall pick as incentive to help sell the team to the only potential buyer who met the league's criteria.

Come on man. It makes no sense to promise to fix the lottery anyway. Just wait 2 months for the pick to be in, or just sell the team to somebody who won't move it. Benson was already interested; it's not like adding a couple million to the offer is worth compromising the integrity of the entire league. The league office is not that hard up for money or anything. A lot of people are involved with the purchase of a team. If the league promised benson the first overall pick, they would be at the mercy of him, and everybody knows he's an idiot. They would be risking him telling any number of people, or a worse, have a maverick senile old guy holding a secret he could black mail the league with if he got upset or something.

If they fixed the lottery, but only told one guy slightly before the draft lottery hoping he up his offer a little, they would have to be the weirdest combination of misguidedly altruistic, greedy, and incompetent ever.

    • I didn't say much bigger. Watch the highlights I linked. Bryce doesn't have the arm strength and/or talent to make the vast majority of the throws Mac made in that video.
    • Tetairoa McMillan.   The last 28 1st overall picks were either a QB, DE, or OT. Seeing as I don't think we'd take an OT in the 1st and give up on Ickey as an LT yet and there doesn't seem to be a clear overall #1 type of QB or DE pick this year, it very well could be a non conventional #1 overall this year, at least in regards from the last almost 3 decades of drafts. If we didn't have Horn, I'd be more open to Hunter as a CB at #1, but we have him so another CB wouldn't be how I'd use a #1 pick.  And as much as I love Legette, if we have SB contending aspirations, I don't think Legette is a #1 on a team like that, but he damn sure is an elite #2 on a team like that.  He's more of the Smith/Higgins/Waddle to Brown/Chase/Hill (in terms of role/impact, not style of play of course). T-Mac is going to be the top ranked WR on every team's board in the end.  He is going to be a true outside #1 WR who is viewed as a consensus Top 5 WR in the game by his second contract in the same way guys like Jefferson and Chase have done.  His height combined with his speed, athleticism, and hands are near impossible to find all in one player, there is a reason his generally used comp is Mike Evans (although as he's not as thick, I personally see him more as an AJ Green). Yes, as an Arizona alum I've admitted to having bias towards the player to begin with.  But he's also someone very widely being put into the Top 5 in mock drafts lately and most of them have him as the first non QB offensive player being taken, so it's not really THAT much of a homer pick on my part anyways. If a QB or DE truly separate themselves as being a can't miss prospect come draft day, I'm open to that discussion, but until then, or if it doesn't happen, T-Mac is my pick 100 times out of 100.
