Gee, You Don't Suppose That Was Fixed...

Jesus? Are you drunk? If there are 14 balls, how would teams (like the bobcats) have a weighted chance (25% in this case) of getting the 1st pick? If there were just 14 balls, that would mean that every team would have a 1 in 14 chance of getting the top pick.

I mean, do you people think that machine they show behind the pretty lady with 14 balls in it is the machine they use? GAH!!

http://en.wikipedia....Lottery#Process

We had 250 balls in there this year. Not one of fourteen.

LOL, you don't understand the basics of how the draft lottery works... but you're sure it's on the level and the rest of us are idiots for questioning it's legitimacy.

There are 14 balls, each ball has 4 numbers on it and the league has a chart of each possible 4 digit combination up to 1,000 combinations. The Bobcats owned 250 of those 4 digit numeric combinations giving us a 25% chance.

You really think there are 1,000 balls banging around inside the tumbler? LOL!

LOL, so when did you become a Pacers fan exactly? Let me guess, right about the time that it was clear the Bobcats sucked, just like you jumped ship on the Panthers during the 2-14 season and now you're back.

no, bet it was when the Pacers was up 2-1 in the playoffs series.

Dude, why would the NBA sell the team before the Draft Lottery if they were going to fix it? They would just wait until the team had the most popular player to come out college in years and sell it for more. Or do you think they just promise to fix the draft to every group of investors and hope one group sees that as enough reason to buy it? That's horrible logic. Also, Bill Simmons is a terrible sports writer that spends a majority of his time talking about an Entourage movie and making references to Teen Wolf.

And that's all I can stand. I'm out.

I'll tell you why, the NBA was desperate to sell that team to a viable owner who would not move it. I wouldn't put it past Stern to promise the # 1 overall pick as incentive to help sell the team to the only potential buyer who met the league's criteria.

Yall are a trip, lol.

Gotta deal with the cards you're dealt. Although we deserved the #1 pick, we didn't get, so we have to move forward. This draft is loaded with talented players. We'll get somebody that can help us out

how is this draft loaded? Beal has the most potential, could be like Eric Gordon. MKG is Gerald Wallace at best. Thomas Robinson is a thug and his ceiling isn't even that high, think Tyrus Thomas. Drummond has the highest ceiling after AD but also the most risk. Not sure if BobsCats can afford the risk. Everyone after that is pretty much a joke, including Barnes, Lamb, Sullinger, Jones, Zeller. This draft is only considered loaded because of one player and one player only, Anthony DAVIS.

I can most def appreciate your glass is half full approach, but the bobcats are in serious, serious trouble and you know this is a factual statement.

Yup, which is why Stern made sure to deliver that player to the team he just sold.

Robinson is Sullinger with an inside game as long the player gaurding him is under 6'9. He honestly reminds me so much of DaJuan Blair.

I'd pass on both players.

    • As I said less than 10 minutes into the game, Boston looks nothing like we're used to seeing. Regardless, any curb-stomping of the Bruins is welcome.  The scorers all got the glory tonight, but all 6 D-men had excellent games. Across the board- Gost, Orlov, Chatty, Walker and, of course, Slavin & Burns.
    • I just tried a few mock draft simulators and this is the only way lol. Nothing else makes sense.
    • No, biggest weakness is pass rush, but I don't think there is a blue chip can't miss DE prospect to take at #1 this year, same as with QB.  But beyond that, moving forward, yea WR is a pretty damn big weakness. We have 1 game this season over 224 yards passing and just traded away our best WR (who wasn't going to re-sign here anyways).  That WR no longer on the team was also the only player we've had this year who had over 78 yards receiving in a game.  So again, yea, WR is one of our biggest weaknesses even right now, let alone moving into the future. As I just said in my other post, I love Legette, but he's not going to be a Top 5-10 WR type of guy, Top 15-20 I can see, I think he can be a good #1 WR or an elite #2. After that, what do we have for the future?  Thielen isn't part of it, sure as hell isn't going to be Mingo, and as much as we all like Coker, in no world is Coker as our #2 to Legette as the #1 going be considered as "having weapons" at WR, even with Brooks and Sanders. But put someone like T-Mac into that group, who I genuinely think is going to be a Top 5 WR in this league for a long time, and it changes things.  A Top 5 WR with Legette/Coker as the 2/3, along with Brooks and Sanders, has the potential to be one of the best set of offensive weapons in the league if they reach their potential.
