Gee, You Don't Suppose That Was Fixed...

This is funny every year. We had a what? 5% better chance than New Orleans, but them winning means it's fixed. I'll go ahead and write the headlines people were prepping for their latest "The Lottery is Rigged" story if somebody else had won:

Bobcats: The NBA fixed it to help out Jordan.

Cleveland: The NBA is making up for Lebron.

Warriors: The NBA is rewarding them for getting a new stadium deal.

Washington: Big market, more money

New Jersey: Moving to Brooklyn and it's a big market team with famous owners

Toronto: appeasing the Canadians and the Basketball Jones podcast.

But still people convince themselves that the NBA wanted the most popular player to go to New Orleans, which more than any other team and fanbase, is the basketball version of Siberia. Losing out on Davis sucks, but convincing yourself of some garbage conspiracy sucks worse.

I mean you should at least be happy that we got the 2nd pick, when we statistically had the greatest probabillity of getting the 4th pick (I know it's weird. Look it up).

these are all just dumb. the lotto was already rigged for cleveland last year because of lebron's departure. washington had it rigged 2 years ago with john wall.

but in all seriousness it is probably rigged. david stern is a piece of fuging poo human being.

The only two conspiracy theories I heard beforehand were Brooklyn and New Orleans. The rest of those are obviously stretches, especially the team with the lowest record getting the #1
