good stuff, but the important thing is how he handles adversity in the 17+ weeks next fall. easy to talk about what you're going to change, much harder to pull it off, especially when under the kind of scrutiny he is under.

He also has worse mechanics so it's warranted that he remain humble (even though it's probably a fake humble).

Given your stellar NFL career to date it I think you might over emphasize the importance of mechanics.

That leads to the obvious question: If Newton and the Panthers could have that much success last season with no offseason to prepare, what's fair to expect this year?

this is a great question.

i keep hearing people say that cam will take a hit this year because teams have tape on newton and this offense, but it's tape of a very young and immature rookie QB in his first year with a team in the first year of a new offense under a new HC and a new OC without the benefit of a full offseason.

opposing defenses are still going to be playing catchup and they are still going to have to pick their jaws up off the floor.
