Carolina Biggest Leap In 2012?

Just watched that myself. Funny how they took us and the Bucs to make the biggest leap in 2012 and then said the Saints** and Falcons would fall the farthest in the video after it. That's in all of the NFC mind you, not just the South. I wouldn't be surprised if we win the division, the Falcons take or just miss a wildcard, and then the Bucs finish ahead of the Saints**.

Hmmm... if you go by records I think if the team stays relatively healthy, I see us winning around 10 games. That's a improvement of 4 wins.

I think the Rams will also improve as well and could get to 6-10 or better....

The Bucs have improved but they have a rookie head coach and a lot of important new faces so it will take time to gel. I see them winning about 8 games.

In the AFC I think if the Chiefs stay healthy and get decent QB play, they have a legitimate shot at winning their division.

3 things needed to take Carolina to greatness

Improvement in Turnover ratio for Cam

Healthy Defense

Improvement on Special Teams

I believe strongly that all three will happen.

You forgot the penalties especially in the red zone

We can't really predict a healthy defense but I think given the way Cam is reported to be working out / practicing we can almost guarantee that his turnovers will drop this year.

Also I just don't see anyway our ST can not improve.

2/3 = semi-greatness?

    • And really, it should be 4 reasons with the last one being that there were ZERO other offensive weapons on that team in 2024, opposing defenses only had to worry about one player all year long and they constantly double and triple teamed him right off the snap all season.  In 2023, we still had Jacob Cowing who had 90 catches that year and was drafted by the 49ers last year, so teams couldn't just send everyone after T-Mac on every passing down.
    • I wonder if the Hornets view Kon and McNeeley more as forwards and plan to ship off Green/Okogie/Smith for center help. I hope they don’t plan to ship off Sexton as I like what he brings to the team. (2) G - Ball, Mann, Simpson (two-way) (3) G - Sexton, Dinwiddie, Connaughton (3) F - Miller, Knueppel, McNeeley, James (two-way) (3) F - Bridges, Williams, Salaun (3) C - Diabate, Kalkbrenner, Plumlee
    • 3 main reasons he was better in 2023 and none of them concern me for his NFL prospects 1. Totally new coaching staff that was a massive downgrade and had god awful play calling and designs, the entire fan base was ready to run the coaching staff out of town a month into their first season and the play caller ended up getting changed because it was so bad. 2. Along with the staff downgrade, his QB played significantly worse after being the Pac 12 Freshman of the Year in 2023.  Constantly missed T-Mac when he was wide open, lost out on a number of TDs and a good amount of yardage, half the time T-Mac still almost made miraculous catches on the bad passes too. 3. He hurt his ankle over the summer and missed all of fall camp only to return to practice a few days before the season started and I think he had to deal with it all season long and was slightly limping at times mid season too, but kept fighting through it to still be a 1st team All American.
