One thing about it, I have been reading some comments on some of he 49ers blogs (like this one), and they are dissing Beason and Newton for the most part (surprise). They are ripping our guys, and we are arguing about Beason and Kuechly. Some act like they don't even know who Beason is, and, from some of our comments, some of us don't know who Beason is (or, at least, have forgotten).

The Panthers have already said Luke will be playing WLB and Beason is staying in the middle. More proof you don't know anything about the panthers and sports and you have nothing better to do than troll.

Luke is more comparable to Beason than any LB that has played here recently. Luke bashers always have ignored that reality.

Panthers saw what they had in Conner and that's why they had no problem with letting him walk.

Look at Willis, Fletcher and Urlacher? Hmmm they don't lay the wood?

Urlacher is washed up and Fletcher is a decent LB based on his age but the guy has been in the league for a while and most people only know who he is b/c ESPN always brings up his age and games played streak.

They are showing their ignorance (much like Smith, I might add), and I would hope that any blog or forum dealing with the Panthers wouldn't showcase such ignorance. Even the Huddle doesn't do that...right?

Meh there are crazies on every team. The 49er bandwagon is back after a long hiatus so a few ill informed fans are sure to come back. Once we start winning we will have the same thing sadly.

Perhaps, but I think everyone on here knows who Pat Willis is, and any football fan worth his salt knows about Beason also. We're talking about a top MLB in the NFL (pre-injury). If Cam was stupid enough to say something decidedly negative about Alex Smith out of the blue, even if it was just to make a comparison, if Willis said something in return, I don't see us being that stupid (but perhaps I'm naive, or have blinders on for the homies).

Actually, they said they would start things with Beason at MLB and Luke a WLB. They said Luke will be asked to learn both and play both....and so would Beason.
