Jon Beason Responds To Alex Smith Comments

I said as much in another thread. Smith opened up a can of worms when he targeted Cam and Carolina in a misguided and really off-base analogy (meaning, it wasn't totally on point). Smith is the one that opened up the can of worms, and Beason responded with a virtual can of whoop-ass (the precursor to the real can of whoop-ass the next time the Panthers meet the 49ers).

Don't tell me Smith---not an academic or intellectual dummy by any stretch of the imagination---didn't know that it was a bad idea to name names when he was talking out his ass (or at least the side of his neck).

As a matter of fact the 49ers were Carolina's 1st rival. Anyone else remember the "Bar none" incident? Long time Panther fans will remember the bad blood between the franchises. Good times :)

When you start naming names you get into trouble. He put that out there, and those guys aren't going to let things slide. They never do.
