Kuechly, Beason, and Anderson are the current starters at LB.

Captain Munnerlyn is the current starter at the second cornerback position.

Byron Bell is the current starter at right tackle.

Amini Silatolu is the current starter at left guard.

Panthers WR Steve Smith was excused from today's optional practice to attend a relative's graduation, Ron Rivera said.

Backup WR Seyi Ajirotutu also missed. Rivera said he thinks 'Tutu' is getting married this weekend.

LB Thomas Davis left practice early but it was not knee-related. He had a dentist appointment. Undrafted RB Tauren Poole (hammy) was out.

LB Jon Beason said his achilles' feels good, but coaches told him Mon he was not participating in OTAs as precaution.

Rivera said the plan is to have Beason back for the start of training camp, and "ease" Davis back.
