For the most part, being a good head coach is a complete crapshoot. You have guys that everyone thought would fail that did really well and others that everyone thought would be a great head coach that bombed. We really wont be able to say anything until the season starts.

Why does everyone think they had so great of a draft? This is one thing I'm yet to figure out. First off, they traded back which led to them whiffing on all the elite prospects which there were 6 of. So instead of staying at 5 where they could have got Claiborne they traded back two spots for a 4TH ROUND PICK. They ended up reaching on Barron, yes, Barron was a reach at 7 and isn't in Claiborne's league. HUGE MISTAKE. Then Doug Martin seems like a scat-back to me, not an every down guy. Their best pick was Lavonte David late in the second. I give their draft a B-. They made some great signings but Schiano is a joke of a hire, the dude had one good year at Rutgers. Chip Kelly would have been much better.

Schiano MAY be able to lead young men on scholorships, but he has no experience in leading grown men that make NFL money. There is a big difference, ask Steve Spurrier.

maybe, although i thought he had a remarkable 2010 campaign then horrible last year. it's tough to say one way or the other which will be a more accurate indicator for the rest of his career. it could be, that he is just inconsistent.
