HIS STATS WERE DEFINITELY NOT PADDED BECAUSE HE WAS TRYING TO COME FROM BEHIND IN DA FOURTH QUARTER IN A LOT OF GAMES AND DEY WERE DEFINITELY NOT PADDED BY THOSE 2 MINUTE LEFT TOUCHDOWNS HE SCORED WHEN THE GAME WAS ALREADY OVER!

One sentence of this sarcastic, internet neologism-ridden rant would have sufficed.

They played what Smith said on Michael Smith's show with a bunch numbers in it, whatever it's called and to be honest Smith sounded like a real prick when he said it and he didn't just call out Cam, he called out the Panthers.

Saying you can put up stats and still be the Carolina Panthers.

All of the hosts on the show agreed that Smith should bite his tongue.

Nope, you just say it every chance you get.

He makes mistakes. He needs to improve. You don't care for him. We get it.

By year 3, we will know what we have in Newton, a great athlete who can't be a great QB or a great athlete who becomes a great QB.

Until then no need to take up for a bust #1 draft choice bad mouthing the home town team and a kid who was rookie of the year. Give this team a decent special teams and defense and the record would have been different.

It's one thing if it is said by Tom Brady. It's another thing being said by Alex Smith; but, then again, no one knows losing like Smith.

I'll take the things said about Newton by the QBs that have worn super bowl rings (Rodgers and Brees).

So it's just a clear inability to close games, which is something to be concerned about but overwhelmed with as the Panthers have had teams in the past to struggle with closing games. This problem should be fixed this year with a full season under the belt and I guess we can all expect the Panthers to be able to finish off games this year.
