People commenting on his 4 tackles need to remember that Fua only had 4 solo in 11 games started. So yes, Shirley's production was a big improvement over Fua's.

I agree with others that there is some other reason they don't like him. This was coming and we knew it from RR's comments recently.

As others have said, reasons must have gone beyond his production in games.

I guess he was a star at Oklahoma St. and even led the team in receiving one year with Blackmon on the team. Last year was sidelined with a foot injury so he didn't get drafted.

Philly will pick him up and he will probably start. I know it is unlikely, but our DLine castoffs seem to make it with other teams quite often.

It's crazy, because a lot of us saw this coming. Even though we felt like Shirley played better than a lot of the other DT's, he was never mentioned by Hurney or Rivera in any of their interviews, when talking about our DT situation.

To tell you the truth, I think most of us just fell in love with his size.
