i feel like it's more along the lines of the panthers wanted to get anyiam, and shirley was #90 in the pecking order. otherwise they could just drop him and keep the roster spot for waiver/trades/FA or sign someone from the tryout guys.

It was inevitable. We aren't carrying 6 DTs. 5 spots are pretty much certain and for 2 of the 5, neblett and kearse, we would have to pick up someone significant in order for them to be cut.

I think RR knows a lil better than any of us...he was the first to go..the first. That says everything! But I'm sure that the head coach is blind to the awesome talent that he brought to the team.

wasnt just about the tackles, but the guy was decent at pushing the pocket.but il take the backseat and see what happens.
