This gonna be Breesus last contract. I believe Brees wants 10 years $230 million contract with like $120mil guaranteed. Brees will not take a home team discount... This contract is his bread and milk for the next 40-50 years of his life.

You know, I really dont get the holding out for an extra mil or 2 when you are talking about that much money. I know its because I am a broke ass. Last I heard, again this is just hear say, no one knows for sure, they were about 2 mil a year off. I kinda side with the Saints* as much as I hate to. I mean they are in cap space trouble, and they keep competive players around him, so he can compete for a championship for the last 5 years or so. I just think a player should look at all of that instead of just his money. He has to allow them to be able to sign other players. He shouldnt cripple them so that they have to get rid of good players to sign him.

With all that said, I love them being in termoil. lol

top thread on saintsreport right now:

"when will goodell resign?"

what fuging alternate dimension are they living in?

You might want to post this article for them:

http://sports.yahoo.com/news/nfl--nfl-commissioner-roger-goodell-weathers-the-storm-as-lawsuits-add-up.html;_ylt=Ag7CIAVA360j.jCO3S2JE9FDubYF

About how the owners stand behind Goodell, plus:

"For instance, Vilma's legal challenge could disappear quickly if a court decides that his claim falls under the arbitration process covered by the collective bargaining agreement. While Vilma filed the suit in Louisiana, seemingly giving himself home-court advantage, there may be no getting around the language of the CBA which indemnifies Goodell for acting as a representative of the NFL."

I'm surprised the didn't play the Katrina card.

The NFL has already paid them to stay and play in New Orleans. They don't have that card anymore.

What idiots. Even if it's not true, it could happen only to the Saints** where people think it is true.
