Bucs Kellen Winslow Likely To Be Cut/traded

it's not a boon anymore to have depth at receiving positions. in today's game it's pretty much required to have a prolific pass offense unless you're like peyton manning in 2009 and receivers could run circles past the line of scrimmage and he'll still get the ball to them.

Also both Shockey and Olsen were starters at TE because we ran 2 TE sets much of the time on offense last year, so Winslow wouldn't be on the sidelines much in this offense. Plus, Olsen disappeared at the end of last season when Winslow was still producing late into December.

So far the Chud connection is probably the only thing he's got going for him if he wants to play here. I don't think our FO appreciates that he whiffs on OTAs. They were pretty thrilled to break that "100% participation" thing a few weeks ago.

Also he's not a linebacker or running back.

Yeah but that was before Carolina signed Tolbert to start at Fullback so someone is going to the bench. Tolbert, Winslow or Olsen. I believe the money it would cost to sign him would be better spent at cornerback or even a solid pass rusher if one shakes loose after June 1st.

I, for one, like Winslow's douchey cockiness. We need that kind of attitude on this team. It reminds me of the fire that Shockey brought to this team. I'm tired of us being so passive. There's nothing wrong with feeling like you're better than the other team regardless of reason or logic. If we asked Winslow before the game who the better team is, he wouldn't answer "Well....". He would say we're the best and there's no question. There's nothing wrong with being a little stubborn. We have coaches to control these attitudes. It's not like we're going to bring in Winslow and allow him to poo all over our team and ruin all the progress we've made in the last season. I would like to see him brought in, but I wouldn't be hurt if we didn't.

I would like him here with the Panthers, dude is a good TE, and being in Chud's system fits him best, Tampa Bay gave up last year, when the 2010 season was going on Steve Smith was pissed, didn't want to be here, wanted to be competitive and we weren't. So why should Winslow feel different? Also this guy lobbied for Chud to be their coach! He love Chud, he would go above and beyond for Chud, he seen 1st hand what Cam was capable of, who wouldn't want to be teamed up with the Swaganator? As for him being a locker room cancer, I couldn't imagine the crap that was going on during the Bucs season that might have not sat well with Winslow, that whole team was a mess, from the top to the bottom, and it started with the HC, and Freeman looked like he was getting lazy and not preparing right, you think Steve Smith would have a good attitude if Cam regressed to do not preparing properly, or being lazy? I don't think so,

From the videos you can tell Winslow works the field really well and particularly makes his mark with down the field catches and red zone catches for touchdowns. He would be a really solid pick up for the Panthers.

No thanks, he's talented but he's cancer.

He was a cancer under a bum coach.

Shockey was a cancer as well and he only did good things for this team.

People really over analyze the whole "being a cancer" thing. The Panthers have a good staff Rivera, JR, and Hurney along with a great group of players (Newton, Beason, Smith) that don't let crap that happens on other teams happen here.

There is no reason not to want KW2 other than he is a Succaneer.
