I feel like there is no way Armanti is here this season. Good point about the scout team QB...guess Clausen is sticking around. Otherwise I feel like he would be gone by now.

You either have to keep a 3rd quarterback on the active roster or the practice squad. While the first 2 are getting reps for the game the third guy is usually your scout team quarterback which is very necessary. You could use a guy like Edwards who can play more than one position but that takes away from reps he gets as a receiver or punt returner.

I suspect we will keep Clausen and he is not eligible for the practice squad.

A PS QB can be just as good as Clausen. There are other positions with more talented players that I don't believe should be cut in favor of him. For example, carrying 5 DEs in order to keep Keiser because he has more talent and shouldn't be cut in order to keep Clausen. Plus we most likely will carry 8 LBs just in case Davis goes down again. The coaches are high on Jason Phillips special teams play and Jason Williams was solid when he got playing time. Those kind of guys you like to keep on your team instead of a waste of space 3rd QB like Clausen.

Jimmy Clausen - will be cut if we dont want to get rid of someone else with more potential

Armanti Edwards - will need to prove he can be a reliable WR which most likely won't happen. He is about as good as gone.

Ben Hartsock - team needs to decide if he's worth keeping as a pure blocker

Jason Shirley - only way he makes it is if he beats out Kearse since we are not carrying 6 DTs. The team is really high on Kearse.

Jason Phillips - good special teamer, can also play MLB or OLB if need be. Will have to prove his ST play is worth keeping

Josh Vaughan - will have to prove that he is worth keeping around to give Williams and Stewart a breather

Bruce Campbell - Will have to beat out Ziemba and/or Garry Williams in order to justify staying on the team. Will be a hard task as Ziemba is only in his second year, which was considered a huge steal at the time, and the coaching staff was high on Williams last season.

Two players that you shouldn't be surprised if they aren't playing with us next season:

Captain Munnerlyn: Really is a poor starting CB, good for only nickel and dime packages. However, every other corner we have on the team is good at that. Might be vaulable to keep as a backup PR though.

Sherrod Martin: Played horrible last season which is why we brought in 2 new free agents. If DJ Campbell can show something in camp and preseason, we may just decide to move on from him.

We must have been watching a different Jason Williams, because he absolutely sucked at LB last year. He was responsible for a number of those big runs that killed us in the early contests.

I know they like him on ST, but pray we don't have to use him at LB again.

Very true 55. I've always laughed at the shows that I've seen with psychics and readers. I just sit back and listen as they throw out a bunch of general things that could have happened to anyone and, by reading the person, they can tell when they are close and they go in for the kill. It's amazing how many people believe in what they are saying. What a joke.
