If Clausen was going to be cut, it would have happened by now. He got a roster bonus of around $1 mill in march, leading me to believe they're keeping him around. Just my opinion.

He didn't get the roster/incentive bonus because he didn't do enough to trigger it.

I don't know why... Seriously don't... But I really have a good feeling about WR Chris Manno making the team. I can't really explain it... Just One of those feelings.

He is a big, fast, WR with a load of potential that has never materialized--I see it as a possibility. Cam likes him.

Ron Edwards (If he is not head and shoulders better than the youth, he could be gone due to contract issues--unlikely, but he will not be on the roster after this season due to his contract escalating)

2nd round QB and later who have epically sucked dont have trade value. I hope Rivera ends the habit of duds taking up roster spaces for years.

I think that Rivera has already ended the habit of duds taking up roster spaces. I'm not advocating that we keep Clausen but if we can get something for him, then we should. I would've thought that another team would've wanted Delhomme either. But Clausen is a 3rd year QB that can be trained to fit a system that fits him. If you're not good on one team doesn't mean that your career is over in the NFL. I say that we call and design plays for Clausen during OTA's and in the Preseason that will allow him to have success. I think that this would increase his trade value or at least make him slightly more desirable.

Panthers55 is right. The early report was erroneous. Clausen did not get the bonus.

We just better not carry 3 QBs this season. Keep 2, Cam and DA, and then have an extra WR or OL

I agree, wish we could keep an extra DT, LB, OL, or FB/TE/WR.

You either have to keep a 3rd quarterback on the active roster or the practice squad. While the first 2 are getting reps for the game the third guy is usually your scout team quarterback which is very necessary. You could use a guy like Edwards who can play more than one position but that takes away from reps he gets as a receiver or punt returner.

I suspect we will keep Clausen and he is not eligible for the practice squad.
