Watching Larry Bird And The Pacers....

Recommended Posts

King T- I'm not a prisoner of the moment. The fact is they are in a better situation right now today than we are.

I hope and pray that we get Anthony Davis, that way we can really build something and all this 8 years of suckage can finally start to come to an end.

I don't lack patience or I would have jumped on the Miami Heat bandwagon like everyone else last offseason.

I've paid the price of suffering through this terrible product for 8 seasons, it's not wrong to wish we we're in a better situation.

King T-

Simple question.

Would you trade every player and contract the Bobcats have currently for every player and contract the Pacers have currently?

Right now, Today... the Pacers roster is better than any team we have ever built and their cap situation is among the best in the entire NBA.

The Pacers had the 5th best record in the NBA and have only 34 million in committed Salaries for next season

The Bobcats have the worst record in the History of the NBA and have 43 million in Salaries for next season...

What position do the Bobcats have an advantage over the player that Indiana has at that position?

Why is it wrong to wish that our team had the 5th best record and a better cap situation?

Do you really want us to suck and have no cap space?

You're oversimplifying the Pacer's current situation. Indy has some nice young players and considering where the team has been drafting they have done a fantastic job building a competitive team.

But realistically they are going to have a very difficult time improving the team from here. You are correct, the Pacers do have cap space, but that is mainly because their young players are still on rookie contracts. Hibbert and George Hill are both coming off them this summer, and Hibbert especially is in line for a big payday. The Pacers are going to have a very tough time keeping this group together because everyone in their lineup is talented enough to get a sizable raise after their rookie contract, and they dont have a superstar to help save them money.

Thats not to say the Pacers have a bleak future, but as the team is built right now they will have a tough time ever making it to the finals. Sure, I would trade their roster right now for the Bobcat's roster, but I dont want the Bobcats to build the team in the Pacer's image

"I can't believe my team went soft," (Larry) Bird told the Indianapolis Star late Tuesday. "S-O-F-T. I'm disappointed. I never thought it would happen."

Keep your head high Larry, there's some people here in Charlotte that want us to be just like em.

Oh come on KT. I know you remember the 1984 NBA Finals Lakers vs Celtics. This is when Bird accused his own team of going soft. The following game you had the infamous Kevin McHale clothesline job on Kurt Rambis:
