Just Because Marty overpaid Dwill due to the lockout and wanting to show this core group of players that they were committed to this group of guys is not Dwill problem. Jerry was playing a difficult hand, and had to do what was the best for the NFL and the Panthers.

He's saying that Williams graded out very favorably last season despite being tagged as "overpaid" and "washed up" by a lot of people.

I do agree that Deangelo has never really displayed any hint of being washed up, especially in a timeshare. As far as being overpaid...well...I am not gonna hate on a man for getting paid, especially if someone is stupid enough to overpay him. The thing is though, I am trying to figure out how Stewie is gonna remain a Panther with D-Will getting paid like he did. And it's easily arguable that the younger and stronger Stewart offers similar production at a greater value.

Stewart will get paid next summer then Cam will get his in the summer of '14.
