Need A Techie's Help Here..

So I was loading up some anime on my USB flash drive so I can play it on my Xbox360. This anime is subtitled in english and the original language is obviously Japanese. Now here's where it gets tricky. I recently updated and got that video pack from xbox.com so I can play MP4 and various other formats. From what I understand I can play almost all video formats except MKV(Matrovska).

SO I fire up the xbox, get in the video and to my surprise, it starts playing. But... the video is all of a sudden, well the Audio...is in German.. No subtitles, nothing. Just German.... I go back to my laptop and it plays in Japanese with english subs...

What the fug went wrong? O_O I'm confused. Any help?

That would defeat the purpose of surfing the internet and having my brother watch downloaded shows on the xbox. =/

I guess I figured it out. It was a codec that wasn't there. Now to figure out how to put this codec back in there.

Yeah, it sounds like you're just missing a codec or a language file, and it's switching to German as the default language. I would just try and find the codecs that you need, redownload them, and check the files to make sure the Japanese language file is in there.
