Comparing Lesean Mccoy's Contract To D-Will's

It just gets old. Every Panther favorite isn't the greatest. I am an NFL fan just as much as a Panther fan....McCoy was a beast last year. Williams only had moments of it.

I prefer Stewart over DeAngelo if you must know. But saying McCoy is leaps & bounds better than DeAngelo is retarded.

McCoy scored 17 rushing touchdowns on 273 carries.

Newton scored 14 rushing touchdowns on 126 carries.

Impressive.

Yeah, let's compare a RB to what may be the biggest QB mismatch the NFL has likely ever seen.

So you are suggesting McCoys 17 rushing TDs wasn't impressive? Okay...

I bet you were impressed when Williams put up 18 on 274....Bet you would argue he was the best RB in the NFL in 2008. But I guess your logic applies different to an Eagle

He is better. Right now he is better. Enough that I dont think you can get away calling it a wash.

McCoy had a helleva year last year, put Dwill into philly's offense to see who is better. .

I don't think the 29 yr old Williams would be better. They are a passing offense and there is a reason Williams despite being highly paid saw the field less than Stewart in Carolina.

i dont either, which makes him(dwill) perfect for this offense because he is spiltting carries.i seen philly play last year and McCoy was there most consistent offensive player by far. i was just stating that to really see who is better is by placing each back into the other teams offense and judge from that. but thats impossible.

you need to recognize McCoy was better in 2011 than Williams in 2011.

Simple and plain.

DeAngelo had a better YPCarry, YPCatch, TD per touch, pass blocking efficiency, & fewer fumbles than McCoy in 2011.

Who was the best RB on the NFL in 2008. If your answer is DeAngelo then you need to recognize McCoy was better in 2011 than Williams in 2011.

Simple and plain.

Adrian Peterson was probably the best RB in 2008. Deangelo wasn't far behind though. McCoy had a better 2011, I don't think he's a better RB though.

career- easily Williams gets graded as the better RB to date.

From 2011 forward...I just don't see how you can pick Williams over McCoy. McCoy is entering those beastly years. Showed it last year.

Actually you don't like Williams or the money he got and take every chance to bash him. McCoy has been in the league 3 years. If you look at his 3rd year versus Williams 3rd year- Williams was better. As for right now it is really hard to compare 2 backs in totally different systems. McCoy has been in the same system for 3 years and Williams had a totally new system and started out slowly. He came on as the year progressed. McCoy averaged roughly 3.4 yards in the last 8 games while Williams averaged almost 6 yards a carry. Sure McCoy had more yards and more TDs but Williams had a better YPC and had little chance to score in the redzone. Most of his TDs were from outside the 20 which is more impressive than a guy who gets most of his close to the goal line. If williams contract was not worth the money than neither was McCoy's. Age is the only real difference. If you think about it, Williams was a much better deal. Sure we paid him big bucks recently but got alot more use of him for cheap compared to McCoy who broke the bank after only 3 years. Williams won't get all his money, McCoy will. By the time McCoy is 29 he will have gotten 45 million. Wiilliams played that long for half that amount.
