What If The Panthers Had Been The Team The Nfl Is Coming Down On For Bounties?

I would not think differently of us. All of the teams do this to some extent IMO. The Saints* are just the first team not mature enough and not familiar enough with success to keep it under wraps.

I don't think they did anything vicious or cruel or intended to maim anyone or end anyone's career. If you do then that is fine but I don't. They did leave themselves exposed to the great and powerful Don of the NFL to make an example of them and to me that is hilarious enough.

Those clowns down there thought they were so above the law they could say whatever and then thumb their nose at the warnings. THAT is what makes them stupid and a joke. Playing the game to put the opponent out of the game is the way it has always been played and the way it should be played.

I agree with your point, but the biggest issue I have with the Bounty Gate is the Mike Ornstein connection, this guy was a crook and a scam artist. He was adding to the pot (for what purpose?), and had no official affiliation with the team. The league sends a memo to all teams warning them and advising them not to do business with him, but the Saints* organization embraces him! This guy (Mike) was in federal prison for various crimes, and he was emailing SP and adding bounties on opposing teams players, I believe this Mike guy had some connection to some type gambling scheme, and the Saints* should have had no affiliation with him period, now look at the mess they're in! This Mike guy is a cancer, and that has infected the Saints* organization.

I would think that JR would clean house himself if he had told the GM and coaches to stop something and they kept doing it. Anyone who would fire family would definitely fire folks who ignored his orders. I don't think it could have gotten out of hand like in New Orleans......

well the "mike" thing is just a bad guy doing bad things and the fact that the Saints* embraced him is no surprise. Money talks in a lot of these circles and there are bad influences hanging around sports figures all the way down to middle school age AAU basketball players. Most teams at all levels have a bad influence or two that are only exposed when investigations occur. Chris Hawkins at UNC recently, that Shapiro douche down in Miami, this Mike character, its all the same. Bad guys follow the money and try to act like good guys just to get their claws in. (the same is true for the groupie gold digging bitches that flock to the players).

Chances are most of the people had no idea who the guy was other than a Saints* fan who always has the women and has nice parties on his boat (or whatever). Their crime is not respecting the code of the sport and its players and thinking they were above it.
