Is Eric Norwood On His Way Out?

Recommended Posts

Good point. I've noticed also that this regime loves versatility. If you can play more than one position, you're one step close to making the team. Even at 6'4 290 pounds, that's not bad size for a UT/DT. If he gains an extra 10 or even 5 pounds would be good.

Does Michigan play 3-4 or 4-3? I won't lie, I'm oblivious about their defensive scheme.

i think a 3-4 were he played DE, but probably show looks out of the 4-3 as well.

I believe Norwood was a player placed in the doghouse by Rivera and company. Similar to Goodson. We all see how that worked out for Goodson.

Rivera knows the type of player he wants. I believe he did not see that in Norwood regardless of physical abilities. Unless Norwood undergoes some serious changes, he is as good as gone.

LaFell wasn't a developmental/project player. The '10 season was thrown away with no effort by the coaches.

I love how people talk about things like they know a situation despite being nowhere close to it or involved with it.

Can we stop with this nonsense that the coaches weren't trying in 2010. The D and ST played hard despite the joke on offense. All the coaches knew they needed new jobs...quitting and not trying is the opposite of what they were doing.

Clausen was a joke. Clausen imploded what was a very basic offense pending you fit it. Fox mismanaged Moore but also wasn't given what he wanted to compete at a VERY key spot.

Blame Jerry for 2010. Not Fox. Fox needed a vet if Moore wasn't doing well....they refused it bc they wanted to audition guys that didn't fit

hey look, a norwood signing in my avatar :o

seriously though, as much as it saddens me to say, dude is too small to play DE in our system....was just getting pushed around in limited action.

His future in professional football would have to be as a linebacker although I'm not sure at all that he has the motivation to be great.

Sad, cause he had great potential.

Fox's demeanor and attitude were clear, he didn't give a fug... The writing was on the wall before the season started. Davidsons play calling showed no effort in any which way what so ever.

Writing was on the wall...

Fox wouldn't be Denver HC if he quit. Go back and watch the 2010 D and tell me he and the team quit.

Davidson's play calls were weak in 2008. Only difference was Jake stood in and slung it deep....magically allowing the offense to run.

If Cam had the 2010 D and ST....we would have been near impossible to best last year

Fox wasn't judged by the 2010 season, it was for his body of work. His body of work was a super bowl run in the second season of his tenure. Building a respectable D and a run first style offense. Do you really think he was going to stay out of a job for long? Elway needed a guy like fox, Denver's D was atrocious. It was a match made in heaven for them. Like they say another mans trash could be anothers treasure. This was the case for Fox and Denver. I never said the D quit, or fox. But he just stopped giving a flying fug. Especially as the season went on. Sure the D kept playing but the QB carousel of laughter was fox's way of saying fug you, I don't give a fug about the season. I'm going to do whatever the fug I want and if we win good, if we don't , it is what it is. I mean the players themselves say, "it is what it is, NO MORE". Come on man...does that say he didn't give up? When your players are saying that? Albeit after he left, but the sentiment was there.
