What is so funny about all of these responses is that no one mentions the obvious. Do you really think Vilma would sue the commissioner of the NFL if he didn't believe what he has said all along? I hate the Saints* just as much as anyone and I'm glad this is happening to them.. but sometimes i just wonder.

Money breeds corruption.... Goodell wants the League to have a good vibe towards its fans. If people feel like the league stands for something good, they'd be more willing to buy the NFL's stuff. Maybe Vilma is telling the truth..?? Goodell might just be making a business move cause he has the power, and it will pretty much make him look good, making him money...

Ok, right, then he says Hargrove verified it and Hargrove's statement proved that was a lie. RG is busted on this one. He has no proof and thought he could get away with it. Yes, I truly believe that Vilma is indeed this stupid. He is the product of the Saints* system, which ignored multiple warnings and then tried to cover up a PR nightmare. Vilma will be bunking next to Spreewell at the homeless shelter in Sefner, Florida before 2016. Goodell's power was voted on and ratified by all governing parties involved, both the owners and the NFLPA. This will do nothing more than bring into the daylight the other players that are implicated to a much lesser extent and totally crucify Vilma, Payton and Williams. No one in New Orleans wins with this one. Once this case begins (if it does) Vilma will be begging for just a one year extension before he even takes the stand. Goodell is the COO of the NFL, a multibillion dollar organization. J Vilma is a player passing through.

You are the SMU of the NFL. Goodell has had a team of lawyers with him from the inception of this investigation, constantly looking at possible ramifications and contingency plans before taking the first step. Vilma woke up this morning and said, "Imma sue!!"

Why do people think the NFL would make evidence public? This is still an on going suit. Vilma is stupid for doing this, if his career wasn't already over, it for sure is now. He is washed up anyways.
