Vilma Suing Goodell

The players' association has said that the league has refused to turn over what the union would view as hard evidence that Vilma or the other sanctioned players tried to intentionally injure targeted opponents or sponsored such behavior on the field.

Ginsberg has echoed those complaints and said the federal lawsuit could force the NFL's hand.

"It is certainly the case that in court, Jonathan will have a right to see whatever it is that commissioner Goodell has been hiding from us and what commissioner Goodell contends gave him a basis to make these false allegations," Ginsberg said. "We will have a fair and neutral judge to preside over the dispute rather than contending with the executioner also being the person making the final decision."

Vilma needs to grow a sack & face it like a man. He's like the guy who gets dumped by his gf, then cries nonstop, begs for her back, chases her, & loses all sense of reality on how much of a pussy he has become.

I wonder if the Saints* are going to leave his seat open too? I hope Vilma pays out the butt in legal fee's. The NFL will ride this one out for as long as possible. Who can survive the longest? Vilma just lost a lot of $$$ and he is going to lose a lot more.

Good for him. Someone needs to put a stop to Goodell's heavy handedness.

Actually i'm hoping this is the beginning of changes in the way the NFL hands out penalties. Goodell being convicted of defamation would certainly bring those changes. It just makes me really uncomfortable that ONE person plays the judge and jury on punishments handed out.

Shouldnt you target your angst to the player's association the ? They agreed to this process. Goodel is doin his job

I would agree with you but the players had a chance to work that out in the new CBA but they were concern with getting fewer contact practices instead (Not saying that's a bad thing)

Back in 2006-2007 when all these players were getting in trouble and hurting the image of the league, no on said a thing when Goodell starting suspending and fining players and I believe he was the judge and the jury. I didn't see any players coming out on behalf of Pacman Jones stating that the Commissioner was wrong when he suspended him. The players now don't agree with what Goodell is doing but knowing it probably won't get overturn but they wasn't saying anything when the Commissioner was doing back in 2006-2007.

So all their crying is falling on deaf ears from me. They should have fought for that in the CBA while they had a chance.

Contrary to your point, the NFL is not a democracy with a constitution that requires a trial by judge and jury. The NFL is a governing body over the league which Vilma plays in. The govenring body decides on all issues, suspensiones, etc... regarding contracted employees.

If Vilma sues in a court of law and it is decided that the NFL can not suspend employees/contracted employees based on a conduct policy then we as a countrly are in a lot of trouble and I will kick myself for spending time posting frivolous comments on websites.

This is going to blow up in New Orleans faces, lets see they (Vilma law team) seek a subpoena for all evidence against them and any witnesses that are involved in the accusations against the Saints*, and of course Goodell will have to comply if the

Judge grants it, (most likely because the lawsuit is in New Orleans courts), and Goodell drops a bombshell worth of evidence against Vilma and the Saints*, what will they do then? Vilma will get to face his accusers, so there goes the protection for the whistleblowers, and then after everything is said and done, the outcome will be worse for the Saints*, IMO.... But it will turn everything into a circus act until the lawsuit comes to an end.

But if it gets thrown out, which I believe not, politics run everything, a Judge in New Orleans that throws this out, will not be elected again, and I bet he doesn't want that, especially when several politicians are already in Goodell's years about lessing the punishments.

I hope the evidence is released, and we see how dirty that rotten team has been, and everything comes out about the crook Ornstein full involvement, (not just placing bounties while in prison) but how it is connected to illegal gambling, and how the players and the HC down to the water boy new about it, but condoned it, encouraged it, and did it knowing the league was investigating it, but kept doing it out of defiance with reckless disregard to the players that were on the hit list...

FUG the Saints*....
