Joe Adams...4.25 40 Time?

Just making sure but people don't actually believe this, right? There is a reason nobody puts much stock in Pro Day times. All are exaggerated, primarily due to the track/field and all.

He's faster on the field than his combine 40 indicates. But he definitely isn't close to a 4.2 guy.

Whenever a guy comes out of Arky, take his 40 with a grain of salt

According to their coaches and their fanbase, at any given moment they have 20 players on their team that can run a 4.25

Hand times are really inaccurate...it all depends on when the coaches stop it. Florida under Meyer used to have a bunch of guys under 4.3 too. I think coaches do it to encourage competition within the team

We did have a lot of fast players the past few years but none are 4.2's obviously

Fans get too wrapped up in 40 times.

On a 20 yard pass play, given the same ratio of takeoff to final speed, cutting ability, etc., there will be less than a foot separating the 4.25 guy from the 4.55 guy.

Joe is fast enough.

The thing I like about Joe Adams that made me a huge fan of him before the draft was his quickness. Joe's straight line speed isn't as good as a young Steve Smith, but Adams has Smith's elusiveness sideline to sideline and has a nose for where the holes will open up. To be honest I'm still surprised he was there in the 4th, he was at least lower 2nd-3 round value that we got in the 4th.
