Cool. Thanks Zod. I mostly read everything thats going on in here. And yes I venture over to the Lovely Ladies section so see what nc_Biscuit, jangler, and few others has for us on that particular day. As for the elders forum. Good for those of you that post all the time.

Seriously, Zod, I think that you are moving in the right direction. Not to question your management of your own site, but 50 really seems more symbolic than an actual deterrence to stupidity. It seems like it would have to be at least double that number to give a person time to really get a feel for the site, and would be a prohibitive barrier to just posting to get their count up.

Now, not so seriously, an elders forum just seems like something that one would have to be voted into. Ultimately I think that it's unnecessary, as Mods are virtual elders already. If Mods don't have their own space to go to to kick around ideas, problems (or problem people), or perhaps improvements or issues regarding the Huddle, then perhaps you should play around with that idea. IMHO, anything more seems excessive.

Do you mean by getting the feel of the place they learn to be sarcastic, a$$ holes, better than thou, belittling of others, know it all’s and not to forget bad spellers? Then yes they need more time.

I feel you, but there wouldn't be a forum without all the different opinions and personalities. Just like in life, sometimes you have to take the bad with the good. Sometimes perception and reality are two different things. Sometimes people are just gonna have a bad day. As for bad spelling and/or grammar, that is something that can easily be overlooked (unless one just wants to be anal about it, i.e. an asshole). When I first came to the site many moons ago (even before the great purge of 2008), I used to take things too personally but was admonished by a few of the "elders" not to take things so personally, or that I would never last. I took their advice in stride, developed a thicker skin, and learned to deal with assholes by being one (if I deem it necessary). If nothing else, a little more time would give newbs a chance to toughen up and/or determine whether or not they really want to subject themselves to the fray. Moreover, use of the ignore function can be a huddlers best friend. The post count should be a means to deter trolls more than anything else. In my perfect world, the mods should be there to deal with the personal attacks of assholes (not necessarily saying that they don't).
