3-Row Suvs/minivans

I love love love my minivan! I also swore I'd never have one, even had trouble with the idea when we decided to buy one. Then we looked at one, and I drove it, and that was it. It's also really nice to have the power doors. I open the front door, hit the button on the remote to open the sliding doors, and my toddler walks out to his side and climbs in his car seat while I'm carrying the baby (and all the other crap we need to leave the house) and putting her in her seat.

Suburban XLT 4wd. You can put your whole family and another family in there and their luggage and tow a boat up the mountain both ways while everyone watches a movie.

One of these days they are going to put a kitchen sink in those things and they will be complete.

Oh Ellen, it's totally different. Average height of an SUV floor is double that of a minivan, and for a toddler that's like the difference between a small hill and mount everest.

Built in entertainment systems, 2nd row captains chairs, more room in general, and car platform vs truck platform are some of the other reasons. You really don't see the value in one until you have kids, it's just that simple. At least it was for us

I agree 100%.

For the family vehicle (which small kids), you absolutely can't beat a minivan.....especially if your wife will be driving it.

It is MUCH easier for her to get toddlers in and out of car seats (SUV's sit up much higher). Also MUCH easier to get items in and out of the back than and SUV.

Break down and go the minivan route.....we have a Toyota Siena and it is a fantastic car.

I had an Expedition and my wife HATED driving it. She said it sat up too high and was too big.....felt like she was driving a bus.

Minivan has tons of room and drives like a car. Your wife will love it.

had a Montero with the 3rd row and it was perf. Mini vans are like briefcases. If you have either, you are compelled to put stuff in it for no reason other than point A to point B.

Utilitarian my interweb brotha.
