Am I The Only One Who Feels This Way About This Defensive Player

I like Hogan a lot, Ive only seen a little, I can't remember what game it was, but he pushed the WR out of bounds and pointed towards him trying to get the officials to notice and immediately went into a zone coverage, I believe he was man to man coverage, and the QB threw the ball to him anyways, but it got called back.

Butler- was cut by the Patriots who ended up having one of the worse secondaries in the league for the most part of the season, but he has showed flashes also,

Hogan at slot, and Butler on the outside, I wouldn't be mad at that.....

agreed as well....i liked the pick. although it was really limited what we saw of him last year, i thought he did well and played smart. him with wilks coaching him this year should help out a lot. we'll be seeing a lot more of him. i hope we see good things out of josh norman as well. another decent pick......

I think by the time he was ready to play and they activated him. Someone stepped in and shut him down. Why risk getting him hurt in the final couple of games. Let him finish the season on IR and give him over a year of rehab to strengthening his knee. Norman was the one late round player I wanted. I was in the Philippines and had to wait until Sunday morning to see who we drafted. I looked in round 4 and was disappointed that we didn't get him and shocked when he was our 5th round pick. He is my hidden gem. (I HOPE)

My prediction is Gamble, Hogan Starting DB with Norman as the nickle.

Butler had a strong rookie debut. Looked to have a mental setback year 2 that steemed from 1 play...

But NE isn't Carolina. Carolina will let a guy develop. Take steps forward and back and evaluate almost a half decade later. NE moves on when you go backwards.

I hope Hogan is a beast. Need to flash real potential first though

Yea he only played a few plays last year and he did save our behinds on that out of bounds play!!!!

Hope to see him live up to his potential. I know that if If's and Buts were Candy and Nuts every day would be Christmas but

If these defense is healed up and ready to play could be as special as the offense is!!!!!!

Goooo Panthers!!!!!!!!!!

I dont see how anyone can project Hogan as a favorite over Butler yet...

Hogan hasn't shown anything yet

Butler showed his way out of a starting job in New England and showed his way behind Captain Munnerlyn.

We still have Munnerlyn right? i mean he's out there makin plays for the last two years and I feel like he just gets overlooked. I'd like to see Hogan or Butler do the thing, but Captains proven to me

He definitely does NOT get overlooked by opposing QB's.....the 75% completion rate against him proves that.

I may be wrong or it may be a little bit of hyperbole, but Captain was statistically the worst CB in the NFL last year, including many nickel CB's. He's proven alright, to be a huge liability.

he's been out there showing that we need help at the position. he hasn't been overlooked by QBs. i think they kind of like him. i like his attitude, but he really hasn't been the answer across from gamble that i was hoping he would be. time to move on, imo.
