I hate to agree with KKL due to his McClain blinders, but the Pressley ranking does make the rest lose real credibility. However I would lump Fields with Fua, Neblett, and McClain as pedestrian. From what I saw these guys were bad on an equal level and I cannot accurately say who is more suck

Cool logic bro. I guess Charles Johnson and Steve Smith were wasted 3rd round picks after their rookie year too.

I don't think either comparison is applicable. Johnson had probowlers in front of him and Smitty scored touchdowns the first time he ever touched the ball in preseason and regular season. Not to mention making the pro-bowl; he was also very high up in all purpose yards. How beastly is that?

Smith only had 10 catches his rookie year (and was below all-stars Donald Hayes and Isaac Byrd on the depth chart). Bottom line, he was considered by the masses as just a special teams player and people thought we needed to add receivers to the team after the 01' season. Stanley McClover got more playing time than Charles Johnson did in 07' for perspective. Snap judgements based upon one season are pointless is all I'm saying.

Every one at the Panthers FO seems to think our DT's might have learned a few things last season and I sure hope so too!!!!!!!!

If we move to a 3-4 then then there can't be but one of them so they got to be a 50% better based on simple math you had two and now you have one so only one time as bad as two. Hope that's logical, numbers only count in wins and losses.

good thing we didnt waste a first rounder this year then too

So Drafting a talented but undersized DT this year would not turn our line into Giants 2.0?

Im glad we drafted someone with prototypical size and skills not hoping Fletcher Cox will grow into his body one day.

Everyone who post on here should go do 2 things(because you obvisouly love football and the panthers).

1. Get the premium PFF subscription. I think you can go monthly for as low as $9.99, I did the year so I can see next years stats for $30. It will tell you 10x more stats than you can find anywhere else(probably an understatement). It also has great sortable charts, so that you can compare our players to others in the league. Just make sure you study their grading scales and definitions so you can accurately process the info you see.

2. Get the NFL Rewind package and go back and watch the games with full dvr control, coaches cam, and no commericals so you can see all the action you missed when watching live. It will really open your eyes quite a bit as you can focus in on individual players much more so than you can when watching live. Much different perspective this way. Its only 14.99/month and if you dedicate some of your huddle time you can easily go back and watch each game. In addition, if you wanna know what kind of player Ron Edwards is or anyone else we pick up go and watch their games from past seasons.

So far $25 bucks you can know what your talking about much more accurately and it will lead to more and better x and o's talk on here. The more people that do it the better off the huddle will be.

Just followed your advice watching the Packers game, Cam's 1st drive....

LOL @ using PFF for X's and O's talk.

Their site is ridiculously flawed and I can't believe people would actually pay for that crap. According to that site, Willie Colon was the best pass protector from 2008 to 2010. LOL.

They have some nice things on their site, I'll give them that. But I absolutely would not put much stock in their grades, especially for the defensive line, pass rushers, or offensive line. The way they account for pressures and whatnot is stupid.

il say it again McClain didnt show no more than Fua.

2 different jobs both didn't do their job well. But there were small flashes where McClain looked like a 3tech. I can't remember 1 time where Fua look like a NT or 1tech. Maybe that will change this season.

    • Saints and Seahawks both making a push for Cooper Kupp The Rams receiver has at least two teams that are very interested in signing him. According to The Athletic, the Seahawks and Saints are both making a push to sign Kupp. The Seahawks could certainly use another receiver after trading DK Metcalf and cutting Tyler Lockett. As for the Saints, they don't have a ton of salary cap space, so it will be interesting to see if they can meet Kupp's asking price, which is apparently around $13 million or $14 million per year.
    • The intent behind the question wasn’t bad, it’s just how he framed the question was kinda goofy. I’m surprised people like him can do media professionally when they aren’t good public speakers. I wonder what he gets paid to do this.
    • Running back Kareem Hunt is returning to the Kansas City Chiefs on a one-year contract worth up to $2.5 million, a source told ESPN's Jeremy Fowler on Friday.   He returns to a backfield led by Isiah Pacheco that also added former San Francisco 49ers running back Elijah Mitchell this week.   Hunt, 29, joined the Chiefs for his second tour with the team early in the 2024 season after they placed Isiah Pacheco on the injured reserve list. Hunt led the Chiefs in rushing with 728 yards and seven touchdowns. He also rushed for 117 yards and two touchdowns in three postseason games.
