If he outperforms them then he has nothing to worry about because it will be obvious that he is better.

I think you mean that you are worried that he will have to prove more than the other guys to make the team. Is that correct?

Pretty much.

Because Fox would immediately think Fua gives us the "best chance to win"

One of the reasons that it is speculated that Fox had a fallout with Richardson is that he was unwilling to develop younger players. So, actually Fox would have likely never given young guys a shot to begin with. You should be more worried about the new regime sticking with Fua,

He hasn't even shown flashes to be honest. I see no reason to even keep him around.

I think that it is Neblett or McClain who goes down, probably Neblett. Rivera himself thought that Fua was more impressive than McClain, but you guys seem to ignore that because you think he will Never be a serviceable NT because he is not 350

I don't see how he thought that when he replace Fua with Ron Fields in a few games because he was getting push around. Different position but McClain had way more production.

I don't see how Fua is in more doubt then McLain

Kali made the statement of Fua special potential in the beginning of last year. And later on Rivera noted how Fua was progressing while McLain hit a wall.

Statistically Fua produced similar to McLain in less snaps.

McLain : 9 pressures, 2 hits, 1 sack, 8 defensive stops. In 481 snaps.

Fua: 5 pressures, 1 hit, 0 sacks, 10 defensive stops. In 408 snaps.
