Josh Norman Opens Up With Nerves..

Recommended Posts

Somebody else can come clear it up for sure but according to Pro Football Reference, Butler started 6 games for us.

Same thing with the Panthers website, it shows him as the starter for 6 games and that he played in 13 last season.

Claimed off waivers by Carolina from New England (9/7)...Played in 13 games with six starts...Did not play in one game and was inactive for two others...Registered 29 tackles and nine passes defensed...Added two special teams tackles...Started at Chicago (10/2) in place of cornerback Chris Gamble, who was inactive with a concussion...Made starts versus New Orleans (10/9), at Atlanta (10/16) and versus Washington (10/23) when the Panthers opened in a nickel defense...Started versus Tampa Bay (12/24) and at New Orleans (1/1) after cornerback Captain Munnerlyn was placed on injured reserve.

Munnerlyn is listed as a starter for 14 games, so the only times the team doesn't have him also listed as a starter was the two games he was injured for.

I liked Butler's play for the most part last year, and with continued reps, I think he's a solid #2. I still have high hopes for Norman and Hogan and think Captain is a good nickel and STer.

As far as their starts last year, I think those numbers can be contributed to us coming out in the nickel package most games.

Captian's is a good option at nickel. How quickly people forget how good he was there. He is an agressive cb who can press well and a decent tackler. i enjoy that all positions will have serious competetion.

#2 CB: Hogan, Butler,

#3-nickel CB: Munnerlyn or loser of No.2 position, Norman.

I think that gives us 4 solid cbs..no matter where thay are. RJ Stanford is on the team too I guess...not a huge fan.

Josh Norman is coming in early and staying late ... shows he is willing to put in the work.

“It’s a 13-hour day. One hour you have for lunch. But you’re getting here at 6:30 in the morning and not leaving until (evening),” Norman said. “It’s a long day.”
