There are so many unwarranted haters on here. Jimmy is a very average NFL backup. He's never gonna be a leader or a star but he will stick in the NFL. If Cam was put in Jimmy's situation we would be on the fence about him right now.

So what would you do? Carry two QBs? He was inactive because Armanti was emergency qb. I guess we should keep Armanti.

Last year during training camp there were lots of posters saying Jimmy looked good and Cam not so much. Yes and Chris Weinke and has been responsible for teaching/helping Cam.

Clausen is a bum. There is a reason he fell in the draft. He wasn't even good in college.

Don't know because he was really put into an awful situation (and he isn't Cam Newton...not that anyone is). If given the proper time to learn and develop, and given the proper protection, I really don't see why he couldn't hold down the fort like any other back-up. For some reason I admire the kid and hope that he excels as much as his potential allows.

it's funny how everyone is certain that clausen sucks because well, anytime he's been on the field he's sucked

yet other players that have been just as bad anytime they've seen the field, oh well those guys they just need some time to develop and they'll be great
