As far as Ewing goes, I imagine it is only slightly less desperate in attracting positive attention to the Bobcats than the Pay the pick promotion.

What are you guys talking about? Hiring a bad head coach will set the team back years? Please, the NBA is not college basketball, head coaches are frankly not that important. Picking up a good coach would be nice for teaching the young guys, but a bad coach is not the end of the world for an NBA team- hell Vinny Del ***** might be coaching in the 2nd round of the playoffs this year.

There are only a few NBA coaches who really make a difference, the rest just sort of point their team in the right direction. The players are far more important
