Offensive Line Projections

Rather have hangartner in at RG...Bell wasn't a very goos run blocker

Really? He wasn't very goos? You don't say?

Run blocking is actually his strong suite and he is pretty damn good at it, look up some OL metrics before you post you will look like less of a fool.

Your post Inferred that Otah would stay healthy all of the upcoming season, given that pretense it would be unwise not to give him a contract extension seeing as when he is healthy he is a dominate force, an incentive laden contract would be a must somthing similar to what Thomas Davis received.

I'm betting you are one of the people calling for him to be cut a few weeks ago. (In spite of the fact that his contract this season is negligible)

Nope you'd lose, sorry to tell you. If you're serious about it go ahead and check my history. You've assumed I've said something twice now, both of which I haven't. However, if he can prove to be healthy, then an incentive-laden contract should definitely be considered by the FO.

If Silatolu lives up to expectations then RT will be the biggest weakness on our o-line. I subscribed to the nfl rewind package and have been looking at individual performances and through the Chicago game our best offensive linemen in order were

1.Gross

2.Kalil

3.Hangartner

4. Wharton

5.Otah/Bell

The first 3 did well in all phases while Wharton and Otah/ Bell struggled in pass protection. Wharton especially struggled in the first 2 games against AZ and Green Bay(both 3-4 defenses)as he looked lost on some plays and didn't get his hands on anyone on several plays.

No Wharton

Do you guys think we are gonna Develop Campbell to be Gross' replacement? He's dumb but he has like 2 years to sit back and learn

I do approve of the O-Line. Though I don't think Silatolu will start immediatlly. It is a bigger step from Division two to the NFL. It is still pretty darn good without him.

A couple of points:

1) Hangman played like crap at times, particularly toward the end of the season. I hope we have a fair competition for his spot. In his defense, he may have been compensating for Bell, leading to some questionable play.

2) Otah did have a "soft" reputation coming into the league. If you just listen to his teammates' comments, and his own for that matter, and contrast them with how others talk about Davis or Beason or even Morgan back in the day, you will notice the difference. I don't think Otah loves football like the really dedicated players do, and that is why he gets questioned.

I know I was just rating last years o-line based off going back and analyzing their play. Granted that's through the Chicago game(as far as I have gotten so far). I highly encourage every one to go drop the 14.99 on nfl.com rewind package so you can go and look for yourselves. Its pretty awesome deal, gives you full DVR Controls,"Coaches Cam" on all the big plays and scores. Also commercial free and a condensed version where it fast forwards to the snap of every play or you watch the full unedited broadcast minus the commercials. Worth every penny and more. I like it because it allows you to get a much better perspective of who's doing what and the different packages and formations we run vs. watching it live or going just based off memory
