If Davis And Beason Miraculously Come Back Healthy

Recommended Posts

I know this won't be a popular angle.....but Davis was generally average or a bit below until the beginning of 2009 when the light turned on and he really started to come on as a linebacker. He played at an elevated level for 7 games. Then he got hurt and really hasn't played since. I think his legend is a bit bigger than his reality.

Not only has he not really played in 3 years but he has aged and had three torn acl's. Call me crazy but I think Anderson is the better linebacker (or at least equal) at this point.

I think kuechly starts no matter what. That would then leave Anderson coming off the bench. Anderson is entering his 7th season this year and would not be affected by taking less reps. If Davis is healthy he is a much better player than Anderson.

I will have to respectfully disagree. If reps are not important for veterans, why not have them all sit out camp to avoid the risk of injury? Granted, they are more important for a young guy like Luke, but defenses evolve year-to-year, and the vets have plenty to learn as well.

He was referring to game reps, not training camp. I say the best players should see the field in games and I don't know anyone who would disagree with that.
