You can vote in NC as a felon, once your done with probation or any incarceration your voting rights are restored.

on the flip side though..you have the people who usually don't vote in the primaries but got up off their ass to vote specifically against it....so it goes both way..

I'm a registered independent and my parents are both registered republicans. They voted FOR the amendment.

I'm going to vote when I get off work. To be honest, I probably won't vote either way on Amendment 1 because I am indifferent on the subject.

The main reason I'm going is to vote against one of our county commissioners. He is a dick.

I usually vote but today I'm not because I have no clue what anyone running stands for. I'm not going to be one of those dumb asses who no clue what they're voting for and just votes for the person because they seen a lot of road signs, their pastor said to vote for the guy, or they just had a cool name.

So you just vote for the races and amendments you are familiar with. You're just lazy.

There really isn't an excuse not to at least vote on the amendment.
