  1. 1. How many carries a game should Cam get? (Designed and scrambles)

    • He shouldn't be running it at all. He might get injured.

I think it's just as likely that Chud's innovative attack will define a modern day offense in the years to come.

how ever many it takes to get the job done....and screw what the rest of the league is doing. offenses adjust and then defenses adjust. us trying to catch on to whatever latest wave is not going to set us apart and ahead from the rest of the bunch.

you do what you do best and you do it to perfection. instead of letting the league dictate to you what you do, dictate to the league how it's going to be when ever they come into your stadium or you go into theirs.

we are a team built to run better than any team probably ever with a QB who could be one of the best passing QBs ever. forget trying to get into the modern age...take the league into the post-modern age where you are run and pass heavy...where you just plain dominate running or passing the ball and force the other team to try and stop you.

I agree. Great teams in any sport make the other team dictate to their play style. And we want to be a great team.

Not using Cams legs would be insane...let the man play with his instincts...his versatility is why we drafted him. I'd be willing to bet that telling him not to run will get him hurt faster than letting him do his thing. Telling him not to run could translate to him holding the ball to long and taking some huge hits in the backfield......Cam is bigger than just about anyone thats gonna be hitting him....I think he can handle a few licks here and there. If someone could just get him to slide...shhhh

It'd really be in our best interest to take that next step this season from being a run oriented team to becoming a modern NFL offense.

the better balanced the attack, the.better it can strike deep and often.

A lot of deffenses are geared at stopping the pass. A strong run game will tourch the nickel and dime....that being said, I think we will be balanced. One thing we ran toward the end of the season was two RB sets, with the addition of Tolbert we can run those sets more often because we'll have fresh legs all game. The D has to worry about three runners and it still could be a pass.

Those 2 RB set were really a rare formation and a means to get DeAngelo more involved

As said a lot of teams are geared towards stopping the pass and that's when we punish them with the run.

Last year is evidence....teams can't stop the pass.

Focusing on stopping it doesn't change the fact the league and rule changes want it to be a passing league/scoring league.

We need to get away from this backfield depth and turn it into recieving talent soon
