Is Eric Norwood A Bust?

I still think he has great read reaction skills. He is better as a Lber so I hope to see him pan out.

I really think he needs to just focus on a few skills and focus on those. if not then yes..the Applewhites and Onatulus are taking up roster spaces...better show up on special teams.

He is on the Anderson career development pace however...how many game did James Anderson impact before year 3?

He fits a need and if he develops into a decent player all the better.

If he fits a need, then they shouldn't have given up all that for Griffin. Trading all your significant draft picks in coming years for a single player is a bad idea if you are already conceding he won't be healthy.

I cannot wait until Rivera's fourth or fifth season. If this draft works out as well as we hope, and he can consistently year after year grab good players and utilize them all to their strengths (That's the key, you have to pick the best players you possibly can and utilize them to their strengths and hide their weaknesses as best you can) this team will be very good for a very long time.

From what I heard he was in Rivera's dog house most of the year because of poor effort. Bust, not panning out, either way I think he was given a challenge and just gave up.

I can see this and i heard some effort questions last season.

-at SC, when Spurrier first got there he was floored that there were no nutrition stds as the guys loaded up a golf cart to hit Bojangles before practice.. He quickly banned all that. He saw a problem with effort issues and laziness and Norwood was part of that transistion.

He did get past it and made SEC 1st team. hopefully getting the money didnt make him relax.

They aren't conceding anything and most NFL teams have more than one quarterback on the roster. Heck, even Pickles has a roster spot.

Grossman and Beck were fine backups. poo starters, but above average backups. They are clearly concerned about RG3 missing games long term and want to have something in place.

??? Did you see what you just typed? They would have someone in place regurdless if its Grossman, Beck or Cousins. Drafting Cousins has nothing to do with RG3 and everything to do with Beck. Whom btw was cut the day after the draft. IDK if Cousins can play a lick but we know Beck can't. Didn't you see the Panthers Redskins? LOL

applewhite displaced norwood IMO, as a tweeter type that could come in and contribute immediately. I'd be surprised to see norwood go this season though - he's depth at a potentially shaky position and he may yet pan out under rivera's hybrid defensive looks.

Sweet, you drafted the successor to Beck as the third string quarterback in the fourth, and you want to talk about our fourth rounders being busts. Well done.
