In case anyone cares or is looking into a point and shoot digital camera....

Picked one up yesterday and headed out on the lake with some friends. Really enjoyed the camera. Its light weight and responsive. Image quality is excellent for a point and shoot. It is waterproof to 33 feet and drop proof from 5 foot. Great for a camera to take while doing outdoor activities. Built in GPS tagging of photos will let you remember where you took the shots.

The HD-Video is top notch also. Great picture and stereo sound. One butto nvideo recording is really nice. Nothing to fool with, just press it and its starts/stops recording.

Anywho, highly recommended if you need a camera that will take a beating.

I just spent the last 2 weeks upgrading my digital cameras.

I needed something that I can take extreme close-ups of gold. All my cameras were either way too dark without the flash or with the flash just washed out the gold. I found a digital microscope that works perfect for that. I also found an Olympus fe-5030 with an Ultra-Marco.

Then for shots of prospecting, I added a Nikon Coolpix L810 with 26 optical zoom. http://www.nikonusa.com/Nikon-Products/Product/Compact-Digital-Cameras/26295/COOLPIX-L810.html

Because I want to post videos to my website I picked up a JVC GZ-E10AU Full HD with a 40X Optical Zoom and a JVC GZ-EX250BU same specs as the GZ-10AU with with a touch screen.

The coolest thing I picked up was a GoPro Hero2 Outdoor Edition, HD video, http://gopro.com (Gotta watch the video)

  • 1 11MP HD HERO2 Camera
  • 1 Waterproof Housing (197′ / 60m)
  • 1 HD Skeleton Backdoor
  • 1 Rechargeable Li-ion Battery
  • 1 USB Cable
  • 1 Vented Helmet Strap
  • 1 Head Strap
  • 2 Curved Surface Adhesive Mounts
  • 2 Flat Surface Adhesive Mounts
  • 1 Three-Way Pivot Arm
  • Assorted Mounting Hardware

Now I can get someone to take underwater dredge shots!
