Some Insight On Beasons Recovery

Lol yeah I do nothing with rehabbing athletes. Kelly Starett is going to be so pissed.

Additionally please show me how people measure tendon elasticity.

Or how about this one:

This group of researchers has been studying tendon healing for a long time. They have developed a way to measure tendon elasticity. In this study, they measured both tendon elasticity and function at regular intervals after PRP injection. Follow-up was for a full year.

okay, with regards to the first link, that's a physiology journal. Physiology is not exactly empirical medicine. There's a lot physiology can address (specifically with movement ailments, like pronation for example) and full disclosure a physiologist kinda fixed my patellar tendonitis, but as far as getting to the inside of a tendon, I doubt it. I've gone to San Fran to study with a DPT who is a major advocate of Physiology for athletes, specifically with olympic lifters, but it's not invasive medicine. Beason didn't go to a physiologist to fix his ruptured achilles. Unfortunately I cannot access that article because it's behind a paywall. Additionally, the abstract isn't exactly clear.

in the second link, it doesn't say what they did. Just that they "developed" a method to measure it. The article is sourced to a scholarly article which, again, I can't read.

I didn't realize you were interesting in knowing about tendon elasticity, I figured it was your typical smart assed remark to try and show you know more about a subject than someone else. If you are truly interested in finding out I can steer you to some physical therapy journals which can assist you. I was just pointing out using a few easily located sources that you can measure tendon elasticity and it is a something that is measured as a function of rehabilitation in achilles ruptures.

I read a lot of physical therapy journals because I'm a crossfit trainer but typically when someone is developing a theory for flexibility based off the quadratic formula my bullshit detector goes off pretty big time.

I don't claim any great expertise in physical therapy but my daughter is an athletic trainer and is almost finished with her DPT, so I get much of my insights about these kinds of issues from her. My area is actually psychology.

If Beason or any other player is less than 100% in the NFL....will get crushed. If you cant play full speed you will get buried in a hurry. So a 3/4 Beason or a 60% Beason is just ridiculous. His life and health are more important in my opinion. I hope he takes the time to fully recover back to 100%. Even if he missed half of this coming season...or all of it....it would be better in the long run. Id be good with that.

lol you got a psychology degree. worried communications would be too rough?

Actually several of them and I have had a number of different careers in and out of the private sector and owned a number of businesses. So don't try and act superior with your exercise physiology degree. Thought we could actually have a discussion but I keep forgetting you are a sanctimonious douche bag.

beason's life is probably not threatened by the status of his achilles.

Pretty sure a ruptured achilles has a big impact on someones health, in turn affects one's life. I didnt say he was headed towards death. And you claim you're a crossfit trainer? Man the trust I would put into you.....

its cool dude my sister is getting a lot of psychology degrees.

you and her can get together and worship crystals in boone it'll be real cool.

and I don't have a DPT or anything like that. I have two things even more worthless. I just haven't deluded myself into thinking they matter at all.

Nine times out of ten you shouldn't trust a crossfit trainer.
