OMG that would be amazing. I live here in Albany and work with a player on the team. Obviously they have full time jobs as well. Firebirds were here years ago and moved to Indiana when we brought in the Albany Conquest. well i guess the history doesn't matter but wow what an embarassment for vick from NFL to AFL2. not that it would happen but it would be amazing to go see him every week for only 12 dollars a ticket. as weird as it sounds the Firebirds were one of the top teams years ago and then fell off when they moved. Now there medicore although the TUC (times union center) is mostly placked come game time. The Firebirds are equilivant to the 49ers in NFL. Not 5 championships but always consistantly a good team years ago and since kind of fell off. would be great to see Vick tearin up that field.....uhhhh turf.....wht ev

Jangler needs to bring back that last avatar, the rest of this discussion matters 0%.

But in all seriousness, as a bleeder of blue blood, I hate Vick. I hate when we used to play him and they'd have the yellow first down line, the blue line of scrimmage, and the red "Vick line", showing how far back he could run and still break a first down. ESPN is a joke. But he did pay his dues to both society, and his debtors, so I think he should be reinstated by the NFL. I mean, if Pacman, Tank Johnson, Travis Henry, and a whole slew of other clowns are still playing ball, why not Vick?

He hasn't paid any debtors. The last bankruptcy hearing, his "plan" included keeping 2 houses worth over 5 million. The judge threw it out, reminding Vick that he doesn't get a paycheck these days.

now that vick isn't playing for the falcons... i have less hate in my heart for him...

he's paid his due to society-- served his time (or will finish it soon) and deserves a legitimate shot at a job he's mediocre at. i say if he can't find anything else he should take that job and there's nothing wrong with that. but seriously, he should be on a NFL roster at SOME position.

He's probably Vick's cellmate. But a better rebuttal would be....

Anybody who was a Panther fan before last year has an undying hatred for Vick. And anybody who has ever had a pet has an undying hatred for Vick. So anybody that fits in either category and can appreciate that Vick going from making 12 million a year to getting a job offer making about minimum wage understands.

yeah i hate him for how he use to kill us, but not for the dogs.

I don't hate him. I never did, honestly.

As to what he did to the dogs, I think he's a pitiful excuse for a human being. But emotional attachment? Not really.

Objective opinion: As a quarterback, never cared for the style and have said it many times. Doesn't matter how good an athlete you are. If you can't pass, you're not going to win in the NFL as a quarterback. Highlight reels are cool, but they don't win you a ring.

As a man, he's an egotist who likely still to this day thinks he's above the rules. His "reorganization plan" shows that. More to the point than that though, I'll repeat something I said a long time ago.

Vick is dumb. Mega dumb. Ultra dumb. Jethro Bodine dumb. Can't find his a$$ with both hands and a flashlight dumb. The man is a complete and utter moron.

Hate that? Not really. More likely to just shake my head in amusement. Hatred is a level of emotional reaction that I reserve for the evil genius, not the egotistical dumbass.

Michael Vick has a place on a minor league football team if he can get reinstated by the NFL.

The Albany Firebirds, an arenafootball2 franchise, have offered the 28-year-old quarterback a one-year contract at the league standard: $200 a week plus a $50 bonus for a win.

Vick quarterbacked the Atlanta Falcons for six seasons before being convicted of bankrolling an interstate dog fighting business.

NFL Commissioner Roger Goodell has not said if he will lift Vick's suspension after he completes a 23-month prison sentence. Vick goes from federal prison to home confinement next month.

The Firebirds' contract offer requires that Vick donate $100,000 to a local humane society.

A call to Vick's agent was not immediately returned.

Vick would make more at McDonalds. Sheesh.... How do they even field a team when they pay that kind of money?

i hope he makes it back, just not in the nfc south.the guy has talent we all know that!the guy used to have all 11 panther defenders chasing him, and would still score after running back 15 yards.not to mention the last game in BOA he torched us with his arm as well!!!

What game were you watching? :sosp:

The last few years of his career the Panthers owned him. Heck, they beat him with Chris Weinke at QB (sort of).

I'll say it. I hate Michael Vick. I work at the Humane Society after work. I see the dogs who have been abused up close and personal. I hope someone kills Vick when he gets out. But you know who really pisses me off? The pieces of crap who got out of their rightful sentences by selling Vick down the river. They are the ones who probably went around stealing bait dogs out of people's yards.
