There's a big difference between cheating to win and cheating to hurt people.

Agreed- I was referring to Bellecheat owning up to what his staff had done. Payton is still a worm that has not come out, not that I know of at least, and took responsibility.

Has the NFLPA come out with any kind of stance on this? Isn't the union supposed to represent the welfare of its respected and law-abiding members? If they've said anything, why isn't this out front with the rest of the news?

I read that also and the players union is making a huge mistake by backing these aholes. The more information that leaks out about the bounty and the leagues proof the worse the players union looks. They are going to lose whatever credibility they still have. If possible...

If I were a member of this union, would I now feel like they have my best interests at heart? Hell no! Unless of course, I expect to get in trouble with the NFL... in which case, the NFLPA is great for members that are expected to be of questionable behavior

I find all of this very interesting for some odd reason. I guess the more and more details come out, I will be more and more confused about it all. For example:

It was my understanding that ONLY the players were setting up these bounties, but now it turns out that felons in actual state penetentaries and half way houses were also emailing Sean Payton directly and putting prices on people's heads (so to speak)

WTF is really going on here!?!?!? IMO, he should never be able to coach again if this is true, especially if he told his players about these bounties and players actually recieved this "dirty money"

It's one thing if players are the ones running it (somehow its more respectable to me... As this has been known to occur throughout the history if the League) but for a damn criminal to email the HC and then for that coach to tell the players... Sean Payton should be fuggin banned FOREVER! I just lost any and all respect I had for that fugger!

The reason that the Saints* bounty program is so disgusting and unique is that it was set up and sanctioned by coaches with their own, and outside sources', money. Many teams have player to player bounty systems, which is why the stupid Saints* fans argue that their pathetic team is being unduly punished. What the Saints* did was something different entirely.

No, I've been paying close attention actually. Do i go online and scour the internet for proof that the Saints** have done what they did...hell no I do not. I have been listening to all the major outlets and reading up on ESPN/NFL.com

Why do people keep trying to explain what they did wrong to me? I COMPLETELY UNDERSTAND!!!!!!! You all are acting like you have inside sources when in fact you have the same damn sources as I have at my disposal. I'm getting tired of fuggin sayin it. Read through the littany of posts that I've posted since last night.It's all actually very self explanitory.

I assumed that this information was common knowledge since the news broke. One of the original articles when this poo broke talked about how even Payton's agent put up money for one of the bounties.

Oh, fug it, I'll say it. If it were self explainitory, you would not have to explain it. Maybe it is only self explainitory to yourself?

Almost everyone agrees that this situation is still evolving. Until it dies, we will continue to learn more details. As much joy this situation is giving me, I am finding myself hoping that the end is nigh. The glee at seeing the Taints' squirm, is outweighed by my disgust with the Taint's Org. as a whole. Let it go away. Let's focus on us, and the future with us, not them, leading the way.

Rant over. Fug every team, every fan, every FO, and everybody that does not bleed Panther blue. (Except for the Lions.) And GOOOOO CATS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I know Newton is good and all (trust me, I get giddy whenever I see a youtube video of him that I've probably watched 100 times before), but is their defense that terrible that they really needed to put a bounty on a rookie quarterback only 5 weeks in to the season?

Or Newton's just that dangerous.
