If Vilma says he found out about it on ESPN why should we believe him?? He is the same guy still saying he didn't do anything wrong. Obviously the Saints** knew a severe suspension was coming which is why they have already replaced him. I am sure they communicated with the team about the specifics before releasing it to Espn.

As for the players not liking it, why would they?? Did you like it when the principal punished a friend in school whether he was guilty or not?? Same thing. No one likes when someone else gets punished if you think it could be you down the road. Doesn't matter if it is legitimate or not.

If it were our players doing these things, I would be sick to my stomach that they would go out and try to intentionally injure someone and then lie about it when multiple parties said it went on and plus the NFL has over 150,000 pages of evidence. They would have gotten what they deserved.

Vilma was the prime player identified by name in the early reports of the bounty. Whether or not he found out through ESPN is his own god damn fault. He knew he was gonna get suspended. Everyone knew his ass was probably gonna get hit the hardest. If you feel bad because of the way he found out, then you're definitely not focusing on the right facts. Do you think he didn't know he was going to be suspended?? Do you think that the team didn't discuss it with him as part of bringing in his replacement. The discussion has been not whether he was going to be suspended but how long. I think everyone speculated it was at least 8 games maybe more. So even if he found out on ESPN it just confirmed what he already knew. Again were any of us surprised?? Do you think he was??

did it occur to you that maybe goodell was going up tell the players about the suspensions in person but they refused to show up? what's he going to do, pander to the guys who tried to destroy the careers of other players in the league? fug that.
