How Would You Feel If You Were Accused, Convicted And Sentenced

Recommended Posts

Are you out of your mind? A private company cannot publicly slander and make accusations that defame the character of those employees. What country do you live in???

They surely can if they feel like they can back up every accusation in court. If or when Vilma sues for defamation or libel the evidence will be presented. If and when he doesn't, it's because he does not have a leg to stand on. There is absolutely no risk in saying something the public may deem derogatory as long as A- its a fact, and B- you can prove it if ever called to the carpet.

And no one spoke to you at all during the process. If this doesn't send shivers down your spine then you are not being honest. Both J. Vilma and W. Smith have publicly stated that

Smith:Through this entire process, the NFL never notified me of what I was being accused of, nor presented me with any evidence or reasoning for this decision. I am interested in discovering who is making these specific and false accusations, and as well as why a decision was made without speaking with me

Viloma:"I am shocked and extremely disappointed by the NFL's decision to suspend me for the 2012 season. Commissioner Roger Goodell has refused to share any of the supposed evidence he claims supports this unprecedented punishment. The reason is clear: I never paid, or intended to pay, $10,000, or any amount of money, to any player for knocking Kurt Warner, Brett Favre or any other player, out of the 2009 divisional playoff game, 2010 NFC Championship Game, or any other game.

Goddell etal said they had this information independently reviewed and it is CLEAR they all participated. See the thing is he doesn't have to give the players or the NFLPA jack poo. Greg Williams is the only MAN in the whole bunch. He flat said 'YES did it, YES it existed and YES the players participated'. He is taking his punishment like a man, not some whiny bitch.

What the NFLPA and these whiny bitches need to do is STFU because it can get MUCH worse for them. If They push it And Goddell turns this info over to authorities these players, coaches and the Saints* can face criminal charges and personally be sued by anyone and everyone on the bounty list. Just man the fug up, take your punishment and hope this poo doesn't go any further.

they can be sued either way .. and the evidence can be obtained through the discovery process via subpoena

I doubt the other players will sue .. but they should IMO

yep .. truth is an absolute defense to defamation

What a load of crap. Multiple NFL players say it goes on all over the league so you might want to get that vomit bag out.

So they have 150,000 pages of evidence. Really? 150,000??? Really? Please show me where that number came from in your research and why has the players not seen 1 page of those thousands of pages? This is the same NFL that claimed that head injuries did not cause problems with players after they retired even when they had studies telling them something different.

Goodell has a documented history of manipulating critical evidence in the past. Did we ever find out why he destroyed the spy gate evidence? Goodell is scared to death that the league is going to get brought down under his watch. By the way, if 22-24 players participated in the so called bounty's why do only 4 get punished? Oh that's right we said 24 but we meant 4. This entire thing is a sham.

so let me get this right .. you think half your team should be suspended and not just the four worst offenders?

I'm okay with that! Brees isn't going to playing this season either .. might as well go for the first pick in next years draft!

One thing that is for sure is that you can count on universal uninformed, knee jerk, bullshit on message boards and it has nothing to with what team one follows or stance one takes.

It's pointless even trying to discuss this with people who choose to be blind.

And yes I was shocked that he got a year and wasn't contacted by the League first.

rest assured he was contacted first .. the nfl did it the right way .. they're not going to risk being sued themselves because of a procedural issue .. over such an important issue

Vilma is just butt hurt and is speaking in a manner that indicates an attorney (who is prob trying to get some air time) is telling him to

I would be utterly shocked if the nfl didn't dot their I's and cross their T's on this one

TCF, while I find it admirable you want to see some evidence firsthand, it is pretty sad you think just because something doesn't show on the first page of your Google search it didn't happen. Half of this thread told you the same effing thing over and over again. Some of us actually pay attention to what goes on in the NFL and don't need others to do our research for us.

I have been following this very closely, because like everybody else here, I have been expecting lengthy suspensions, and I thought therewould have been way more than what was handed down. (which btw is kind if a bummer)

I google searched it several different ways and could not come up with the NFL's official press release on this matter. You all were telling me things that EVERYBODY already knew. I just wanted some evidence that I could read and readily make y own decision. Upon Mr Scott providing what I could not find, I was extremely happy with the outcome. ESPN didn't even have the official release, nor was it on NFL.com.

It doesn't really matter tbh, what's done is done, and if the League has the evidence (and after reading their release it seems apparent that they do) then I highly doubt any of the suspensions will be reduced or overturned.

Why are you guys still discussing this retarded poo?

You realized cheating2anotherSB stopped posting after Scot proved to him that his entire argument was retarded right?

That was on the first page...

Figured I'd bump this from page 4 since apparently no one has gotten the hint yet.

This guy is a lame troll, every time one of his idiotic statements gets refuted he disappears for half a day to try and come up with some new brilliant reason why his team is in fact not a bunch of shitdicks.

In conclusion, cheating2anotherSB go hang out with that other loser Saints* fan with the nerdy ass picture that is forever posting on here with the same hilariously awful attempts at starting these ridiculous threads.

dude .. look at it like this

do you think a multi-billion $$$ organization would make such a loud move if they were unsure regarding the evidence they obtained in the process?

there was very likely overwhelming evidence

like I've said before .. their attorneys are very well paid and the best of the best .. they know in advance exactly what a court will want to see in the event they are sued

to make a move like this .. and then to have it overturned by a court .. would be too embrassing for the league

I tend to agree with you on this. I'm not outraged about the punishments or their severity but it's just a bit odd how this has been done. If you step out of the weird world of the Huddle you get the sense that most people question the way this is being handled.

You simple aren't going to have an intelligent or unbiased conversation about this here.

OP is just another sad Saints*** Fan or player who continues to justify and lie about what they did.

If there is a such thing as karma, Brees would be carted off the field early this season. I am not wishing injury on him, but that franchise deserves the very same outcome that their pathetic behavior was attempting to inflict on other players.

How's Week 2 sound?

Edit: And just so everyone knows I wasn't being serious It'll be Steve Smith who does it. Yeah, fear not, our safety problem is solved.

Hey guys: Remember when Breezingtoa7-9record posted about how Nicks would re-sign? Then bolded a quote about how much he liked being in NO?

Wait, wait, wait. Remember when he posted over a month ago that the Brees deal was gonna get worked out and he was gonna take a hometown discount so they could keep all their players?

Yeah, the whole bolding statements in an article is oh so convincing. Please, just leave.

(I'd add a "nobody likes you" in there for good measure but truth be told I love watching you 'represent' your team and fan by making an ass out of yourself)
