They surely can if they feel like they can back up every accusation in court. If or when Vilma sues for defamation or libel the evidence will be presented. If and when he doesn't, it's because he does not have a leg to stand on. It doesn't really matter tbh, what's done is done, and if the League has the evidence (and after reading their release it seems apparent that they do) then I highly doubt any of the suspensions will be reduced or overturned.

I tend to agree with you on this. I'm not outraged about the punishments or their severity but it's just a bit odd how this has been done. If you step out of the weird world of the Huddle you get the sense that most people question the way this is being handled.
