I am thrilled about all the saints suspensions and not because I care about justice but as a Panther fan i despise the TAINTS!!!!!!!!!!!!! Anything bad that can happen to them, Im all for it. Because the current players aren't "former" players yet and obviously not thinking about their future health after football. IMO they will be shocked.

To be honest I would have suspended Vilma for 8 games. A failed drug test is 4. Beating up a teammate is 2. Raping a girl in a bar is 6. Dog fighting was 4? Taking an entire year away from a guy is extreme, unless it was with pay. I hate Vilma but still it's harsh.

Honestly, I think what has brought down the mighty wrath of Goodell is the organization lying to his face.

Catman is right on the money what he said earlier. If the Saints would have just fessed up and apologized, they would have gotten of easier.

Please. The only reason Goodell is enforcing a strict policy on head injuries and trying to improve game safety is so that the NFL and the OWNERS don't get the sh1t sued out of them.

That's a very cynical view of things and I somewhat agree. But the motives don't really matter as long as they protect players.
