Rivera thinks extremely highly of Otah and sings his praises regularly about what a hard worker he is and how he is always in shape.

He wasn't placed on IR last year because he got injured again, he actually could have played by mid-season but they decided it was best long term for the team if he took the rest of the year to strengthen the knee and heal it completely.

That pissed him off because he wanted to play, which is not the attitude of a lazy person.

Really? Rivera has always seemed irked by Otah IMO

He praised him on the radio last year and said that the idea he was not working hard to come back was completely false.....that he was doing everything they could expect of him.

Claussen wearing a hat in a restaurant, nice.

To me, it just seems like he is a tad pessimistic when I have heard him talking about Otah. Says he works hard but usually adds something not really negative but suggests they just don't know. Speaks more positively about other returns IMO. I think be also questioned him playing through pain shortly afte arriving.

Anywho, I am a Otah supporter. I think that at least this year his contract will get him on the field regardless....and that will be a good thing at least for 2012.

I don't understand the moronic obsession with people here calling him lazy, or questioning his passion for the game and/or work ethic.

Makes me wonder if these same people would call Thomas Davis lazy or maybe question the passion Dan Morgan had for the game.

Some people just look for excuses as to why they feel bad because they have way too much of the personal well being tied into the Panthers Wins and Losses I guess.

I never speak to players when I see them out at restaurants because I know they just want to be left the fug alone

I admire your restraint, and I'm the same way. I've seen SS several times around Charlotte (Harris Teeter, Target, etc. lol)- he even used to live in a good friend's neighborhood, and he is my all-time favorite Panther, but I've never interrupted him. If I were famous in any way, I too would want to be left alone and have some semblance of privacy.

Silatolu and Otah anchoring down the right side of the O-line? Yes please.

As far as the injuries go, the human body isn't meant to carry that kind of weight. I think Kris Jenkins could find a job in helping these bigger guys develop a routine to help their base, especially when these guys are 315+, but I think it would have to start at the college level IMO.
