I've always said Jerry has never shied away from spending money, it's always been the short sighted Panthers fans and reports who have said this by only looking at the 09 and 10 seasons, you can excuse reporters because you can't expect them to remember everything about every team, especially something like a teams spending habits but fans that claim to be in the know should be aware of this.

no the question was if we spent any money at all, let's not start rewriting history, I don't exactly remember many threads titled "OMG Jerry is a IDIOT WITH HOW HE SPENDS HIS CASH" most of them were "Jerry is Cheap!" or something to that effect, I know it may have been something hard for you to have noticed because there was only about 40 new threads a day for a year that were along those lines, but that's not something I would expect for you to notice.........

I know this may be hard for you to understand but it's actually rare that teams make big offseason moves in FA for example the Patriots? the only big move they have made that came remotely close to working out was the Randy Moss pick but that only really helped them out 1 year, most of the pick that help people out are the smaller FA's like for example us getting Shockey and Olsen and for the Patriots it was Wes Welker, Welker was pretty much an unknown for the Dolphins when he signed with the Patriots, for example the raiders got Carson Palmer last year, probably the biggest FA acquisition how much did that really help.

Also some years there is just nobody out there to pick, or like this year we have no money to spend.

other teams also have Big FA acquisitions that bow up in their face like the Eagles picking Asante Samuel blowing up in they're face, these things are to be expected and happen.

my only issues with the Panthers front office for the last 5 years is Giving DeAngelo Williams that huge contract when we didn't really need to and trading picks to draft Brown and Edwards, which I hated the moment they have happened.

also about keeping players do you want to know what this team would have looked like without those players? they literally were either #1 or 2 in the FA market at their position, it would have gutted the team, and would have been disastrous but no one ever wants to talk about that aspect of not signing our own FA's.

Didn't realize MLS and CFL players made that much. 100,000+ a year isn't that bad for shitty leagues.

Most CFL players have to work a second job because the CFL doesn't pay that much. Only key players on each team make good money.
