Eagles have SIGNIFICANTLY more money committed to the 2013 salary cap than the Panthers($134 million), and they also have more money committed to the 2014 cap than us. Obv that number was reduced with the Asante trade, but that will be negated when they resign LeSean McCoy.

Pretty incredible considering they just signed Vick, Nnamdi, and D. Jackson to pretty big deals. Good organization, too bad there fans are LITERALLY never satsified.

Guys do not forget unused cap space rolls over to the next year now, so as of June first we will have around 14 million that will rollover to next season.

The eagles user Reid have had a different approach to the salary cap than the panthers.

They, like the patriots, like to backload their contracts so they have excess cap space. This allows them to take their shots so to speak, like last year when they nabbed babin and Nnamdi, or in 2004 when they grabbed kearse and Owens.

Effectively though it's no different than paying up front like the panthers prefer. The space is just a buffer so they can constantly restructure.
