I would go into camp with Neblett and Edwards as the penciled in starters. Kearse can spell Edwards, with occasional snaps for Fua (let him earn more snaps, don't just give them to him). McClain spells Neblett. On passing downs, we can also use 1 of the DE's at the 3 tech spot.

Carefully monitor who gets cut post June 1st. If a good (but not terribly expensive) 3 tech DT is out there, perhaps bring them in. This all depends on how McClain looks in OTA's. If it looks like he has made a lot of progress, we may not need to sign anyone pending seeing what kind of injuries we have through camp.

Do not go into the season like last year, with Fua and McClain starting, unless they both have shown a quantum leap.

have a veteran DT, who still has some game, mentor a group of young, no name DTs that are hungry to make a name for themselves. And let these aforementioned DTs have a full offseason to watch film from last season, and be coached to be more comfortable with Rivera and McDermott's schemes

Solution to what... Here's a solution "DONT PANIC" lets see what they progress into... Alot of ppl up here forget sometimes it takes time to adjust to the big mans game.... Seriously we have bodies let the coaches figure it out. If they dont work this year then we address the issue next year. Everyone is complaining about position we addressed last year. Give them time. This is NFL FOOTBALL not a microwavable dinner.

for all the posters who wanted us to draft a DT, why do you think more youth at that position is the answer? If youth was the problem last year (inexperience, lack of time in an NFL weight room, etc) how is youth the answer this year?

seems like adding a good veteran during training camp would be the best way to shore up the position.

At this point I think you need to ride with what you've got for better or worse this year. Bringing in a stop gap vet is just going to slow down the younger guys development. If there isn't any sign of improvement after this year then you start looking at addressing it in FA and the draft.

Having a healthy linebacking corp will make a big difference as well.
